Work & travel Hawaii 2008

We, Viviene, would like to invite all of you who are interesting to gain new experiences in the United States of America to join our Cultural Exchange Program.

Rules & Regulations

Work & Travel USA Summer dates are June 1st to October 19th.

Work & Travel USA allows eligible students to work in the USA
for a maximum of 4 months and to travel at the end of their working
period for up to a maximum of 30 days. All Work & Travel USA
participants must note that they can only work and travel within the
program dates.
Work & Travel USA participants may only work
between the dates shown on the DS-2019. Working outside of
these dates is ILLEGAL.

If a participant breaks this rule, they are likely to be arrested and
the full consequences of US Law will then be applied.

30-day Rule

ImageYou are authorized to stay in the U.S.
30 days after the ending date of the
program for the purpose of domestic
travel within the U.S.

The ending date of
your program is four
months from the date of your entry into
the U.S. The last day you are allowed to work is written on your DS-2019. You must stop
working on this date, but may remain in the U.S. to travel for 30 days. If you travel out of the U.S. during this 30 day period you may not be able to re-enter, so please use this period for domestic travel only.

Participants who remain after the 30-day period without proper authorization are subject to arrest and deportation.
In addition, violation of immigration
regulations may seriously
jeopardize the possibility of obtaining any type of U.S. visa in
the future.
Extending Your Stay

It is difficult to extend your stay in the U.S. beyond the end of the program. The Work & Travel USA program is only authorized to operate during
designated periods. When you join this program, you do so with the agreement that you would leave the U.S. upon its termination, and the U.S. government expect you to honor this agreement. Changing status is complicated and, in most cases, impossible.
