To became a host family. Criteria for host families:
1, Au Pair should be treated as a member of family and not as
a hired help. You must provide Au Pair with full board and lodging
2, If Au Pair is required to drive to have a access to a family car.
3, Au Pair should eat with a family
4, They should have an opportunity to travel with the family and
by her own if she like to
5, Au Pair should have the opportunity to attend language
course in her free time.
6, Au Pair should be allowed to have a friends over and go out
when she is not on duty.
7, We required to give Au Pair a minimum of pocket money
300 euro per month ( net ) + pay the taxes in Finland. For each
contry apply different amount of pocket money and different rules.
8, Family has to give Au Pair every 6 month a pay holiday
for 1 week
9, Au Pair should work maximum 30 hours per week
10, Host family provides Health Insurance covered during
Au Pairs working hours in Finland. For other countries apply
their own rules.
11, Au Pair should have full 1 and half of 2 days off per week
12, Bonus for Au Pairs - as a family you can offer individual
bonus for Au Pairs who come from outside of Europe. You
can offer to pay half of airplane ticket before the arrival or
at the end of 12 month if you like. This is not necessary and
we do not required from any families to do so.
