The Au Pair stays with a family in a foreign country, learns
the language, about the customs and culture. She has got
her own room, meal and is treated as a member of a family,
in exchange she helps with children and household for
25 - 36 hours per week and gets pocket money.
The Au Pair program in Ireland gives you excellent opportunity to
learn the English language during your stay in Ireland.
All applicants must be available for minimum 6 - 12 moths.
Summer Au Pair placement not possible.
Au Pair program fees: 150 euro
Requirements for Au Pairs in Ireland:
Age: single, no children, age between 18 - 35
Working hours: 25 - 36 hours per week maximum
plus 2 nights of babysitting
English skills: good basic knowledge of English
Duties: helping to take care of children, helping
with meals, babysittings, taking children
to school or nursery. Assist with house-
hold as ironing, vacuuming and etc
Free time: 2 days a week must be free. This is a good
opportunity for Au Pair to attend language
course and good way of meeting new people
from other countries
Accommodation: Au Pair must have her own fully furnished room
with access to bathroom and shower, TV, stereo
and etc
Pocket money: minimum pocket money are 55 euro per week
but usually families offer 65 euro per week.
Au Pair is not an employee! Her primary
aim is to learn the language and about
the country
Courses: in a free time the Au Pair has got opportunity
to attend language classes. Any costs of
language courses have to be paid by Au Pair
Travel: Au Pair in Ireland pays for her own travel arrangement
Insurance: we recommend that all au pairs traveling abroad
take out travel insurance, and usually health
insurance as well. In most cases you will need
to pay for your own health and travel insurance.
If you are a EU citizen traveling only within the
EU you can get an E111 form from your doctor,
which will cover you for basic health needs
